Lacienta derives its name from the Italian word Pazienza, patience, the very essence of our craft. Patience is at the heart of every stitch, every fitting, and every detail that goes into our garments. It is the quiet force behind the care and dedication we bring to our atelier each day.
At Lacienta, we value creativity, artistry, and uncompromising quality. Our commitment is to create pieces that our clients can truly trust for themselves, and for their little ones.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Maria Zoghby began her journey in fashion by opening her first atelier on the 7th of february 2006.
Since 2022, she is the founder and director of Lacienta, a refined couture label that embodies the elegance and expertise she has acquired over the years.
Lacienta is the result of many talented hands behind the scenes. A dedicated team of artisans contributes their expertise in crochet, hand embroidery, and garment confection, each one bringing their heart and craft to every piece we create.
Heritage
Starting with clothing repairs, Maria sharpened her skills before pursuing formal studies in fashion design with Michel and Mariette Atallah in Beirut, later specializing at the Academy of Fashion Design in Jounieh.
Her creativity and talent were soon recognized. In 2017, she participated in the Salon du Chocolat in Beirut, where she collaborated with chocolatier Ezzedine Sultan to design a stunning chocolate dress. She also earned second place in the Academy’s fashion design competition by creating a gown for Miss Arab at the “World Next Top Model” event held at AquaMarina Club. While managing her atelier, she also balanced motherhood with her studies, a true testament to her determination and passion.
In 2013, she branded her atelier under the name Mia Maria Couture and launched her first bridal collection, The White Sun. For years, she worked closely with her growing clientèle, offering tailor-made soirée and bridal gowns in Lebanon and around the world, including France and Australia

In 2022, she introduced her current brand, LACIENTA, a refined reflection of her growth, dedication, and vision.
5 collections later, the new 2026 spring/summer collection continues to carry the brand’s signature elegance and savoir-faire.
From a single atelier to a growing maison de couture, her story is one of resilience, artistry, and a heartfelt commitment to creating timeless designs for life’s most meaningful moments.

Our Pre-Loved rental service offers selected pieces a new journey, allowing families to celebrate meaningful moments while embracing a more thoughtful approach to luxury. Every garment is carefully reviewed by our atelier before becoming available once again.
Every Pre-loved piece is carefully inspected by our atelier, professionally cleaned before its next celebration, restored where needed to preserve its beauty and ready to create new memories.
